West Maple
Elementary School

GENERAL CONTRACTING

City Contracting Services reconfigured the natatorium, locker rooms and adjacent classrooms to create the new French Speaking School within West Maple Elementary. The project consisted of numerous updates and additions to the existing infrastructure including infilling the pool with compacted sand and concrete, new HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing.

The updated space was rebuilt with metal studs and gypsum walls to create an area that is accessible through a new set of dedicated entrance doors. The new school was completed with ACT ceilings, new Doors and Hardware, Flooring, and Painting. The classrooms that were created as part of the project were accompanied by Lockers, custom Millwork, Countertops and New Restrooms. A state of the art Information Technology and Security System was installed at the completion of the project to ensure security for the staff and students for years to come.

The French Speaking School within West Maple was completed during the summer months to avoid major disruption to the existing Elementary School’s students and faculty. This new facility has given the school district the ability to offer international learning in a safe and secure environment.
